CRIME: Ten accused in drug bust

ALBION — A two-month investigation into the sale and distribution of crack cocaine and marijuana in the Village of Albion has led to the arrest of 10 individuals.

A search warrant was executed at 302 West State St. and 3845 Long Bridge Road on June 30 by the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force, the Albion Police Department, the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department and the Orleans County Sheriff’s K9 Unit.

Police seized crack cocaine and marijuana with a street value of $2,500, in addition to cash, scales, packaging and other drug paraphernalia, according to reports.

Nine of the suspects are Albion residents, and one is from Texas.

• Delmus R. Tanner, 27, 3845 Long Bridge Road, Albion, was charged with 10 counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, eight counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, six counts of first-degree criminal nuisance, two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

• Amy J. Cook, 20, 127 McKinstry St., Albion, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and fourth-degree conspiracy.

Both Tanner and Cook were arraigned in Albion Town Justice Court. Tanner was committed to the Orleans County Jail on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond bail. Cook was committed to the Orleans County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond bail.

They are due to return to Albion Town Justice Court at 9 a.m. today.

• Cheryl A Nichols, 44, 302 West State St., Albion, was charged with six counts of first-degree criminal nuisance, four counts of first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. Nichols was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Albion Town Justice Court on July 22.

• Rodney Wilson, 59, 302 West State St., Albion, was charged with six counts of first-degree criminal nuisance, four counts of first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Albion Town Justice Court on July 22.

• Kristina Whiting, 21, 353 West Park St., Albion, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and unlawful possession of marijuana. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Albion Town Justice Court on July 22.

• Brandon Munson, 26, 58 Crimson Heights, Albion, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and two counts of first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Albion Town Justice Court on July 22.

• Jeremy Williams, 17, 302 West State St., Albion, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and issued an appearance ticket returnable to Albion Town Justice Court on July 15.

• Jacqueline F. Williams, 18, 302 West State St., Albion, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and issued an appearance ticket returnable to Albion Town Justice Court on July 15.

• Anthony J. Goulet, 18, 327 West State St., Albion, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and issued an appearance ticket returnable to Albion Town Justice Court on July 15.

• Kellan R. Cooper, 25, 9726 Boonsvord Drive, San Antonio, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and issued an appearance ticket returnable to Albion Town Justice Court on July 8.
