MASONS: Lodge 336 begins season with new officers and new honors

The Journal-Register

SPECIAL TO THE JOURNAL-REGISTER

Medina Lodge 336, Free and Accepted Masons, gathered in its West Center Street temple to begin an autumn season with new officers in place, and also with two of their number installed in honored Masonic posts.

Timothy McGee of Oak Orchard Road, Albion, recently traveled downstate for traditional Masonic Grand Lodge ceremonies in which he and many others were installed as district deputy grand masters. He will now begin a series of visits to the dozen or so lodges of the Niagara-Orleans District, inspecting their programs and performance.

McGee, a retired officer of the staff of Orleans Correctional, has a long history with Medina lodge. He rose through the ranks to the position of master and was commended for his leadership in the statewide Masonic Child Identification Program.

McGee will have a traveling companion on his rounds of lodges in the district — Charles McDonald, who has been installed as Grand Sword Bearer for the New York State Grand Lodge. McDonald was formerly a member and was master of Yates Lodge at Lyndonville. That Masonic body has had its charter merged with the Medina Lodge.

The local lodge will confer degrees upon five new members to open the fall season. It is still working to absorb the charter and the remaining members of Yates Lodge, which closed its books in 2007.

The new officer line of Medina Lodge, ready to conduct the fall and winter activities, includes Richard Lugo as master, Robert L. Donovan as senior warden, Ronald Bramer as junior warden, Allan Kropf as treasurer, Scott D. Mason as secretary, Steven Morse as chaplain, Stephen J. Seitz as senior deacon, Jason A. Weeks as junior deacon, Robert K. Drury as senior master of ceremonies, Jonathan W. Incho as junior master of ceremonies, Douglas W. Hedges as marshal and Fulton A Rogers Jr. as tiler.

Trustees are Michael J. Kropf, Thomas D. White and Jay J. Goodrich.
