Medina Journal-Register — Options for Friday evening entertainment will be more varied when the “Finally Fridays!” music series returns to Lee-Whedon Memorial Library on Jan. 3. A record total of 10 programs have been scheduled for the season.
“We are starting our music programs early again this year, by popular demand. We look forward to greeting all of our music-loving friends on January 3, our 13th year, believe it or not!” said Catherine Cooper, series organizer.
“Acoustically Sound,” a versatile and accomplished local group, will open the series with vocal and instrumental renditions of classic melodies.
The series offers a variety of music to suit all tastes: country, jazz, nostalgic, and even some German music. Fliers listing the entire schedule are available at the library; the list is also available on the library’s web site, www.leewhedon.org.
“Finally Friday!” programs begin at 7 p.m. and are admission-free. The series receives some funding from the New York State Council on the Arts and is co-sponsored by the Friends of Lee-Whedon Memorial Library.
