Medina Journal-Register — ALBION — The Albion FFA delivered 19,000 pounds of food on a semi-truck to Orleans Community Action last week. This is the fourth year of the Albion FFA Food Drive and each year the chapter gathers more and more food for families.
The food on the semi-truck went to several different organizations, food pantries and soup kitchens in Orleans and Genesee counties. The food will go to local families to provide comfort and nutrition throughout the holiday season.
Many local farms and stores tdonated, including Save-A-Lot Foods, Triple G Farms, Panek Farms, Root Brothers, Kludt Brothers, Orleans County Farm Bureau, Nesbitt Fruit Farm, Orchard Dale Fruit, Kirby Farms, Kreher’s Eggs, Neal’s Farm, Poverty Hill Farm, Bannister’s, Starowitz’s, Torrey’s, Call’s and Partika’s.
Albion High School FFA Chapter President Sara Millspaugh said, “It was a great experience to be able to give back and make so many people happy, especially around the holiday season.”
