Medina Journal-Register — A Medina man was hospitalized after an early morning roll-over vehicle crash in Ridgeway.

The incident occurred shortly after 5 a.m. Friday in the 10500 block of Mill Road.

Tyler J. Heminway, 24, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer west on Mill Road, west of Murdock Road, when he apparently lost control of the SUV.

According to the Orleans County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle ran off the north side of the roadway, returned to the road and veered off the south side, then overturned several times before coming to rest on its left side in a soybean field. Heminway was ejected from the vehicle.

Heminway was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was air-lifted to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo by Mercy Flight.

The accident remained under investigation at mid-morning. The sheriff's office said it appears alcohol and excessive speed were contributing factors and charges against Heminway are pending his recovery.
