Medina Journal-Register — Beggar’s Night set for Medina, Albion
Beggar’s Night is set for this evening in both Albion and Medina.
In Medina, children (and their parents) are asked to meet behind the Medicine Shoppe at 5:15 p.m. for the event, which runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Sponsored by the Medina Business Association, the event is suggested for children in pre-school through third grade. Donuts and cider will be available.
The night allows children to dress in costume and trick-or-treat at downtown businesses.
In Albion, the Albion Merchants Association, along with the Village and the Town of Albion, are offering a similarly styled event. Local businesses along Main and Bank Streets will welcome trick-or-treaters dressed in costume starting at 5:30 p.m.
Parents must accompany their children on the walk, which starts at the Albion Fire Hall on Platt Street.
Some businesses that fall outside of the planned route will be provided with space downtown to participate to make the walk safer for the children. Krantz’s Furniture will be adding to the event this year with a large Whoville display straight out of the world of Dr. Seuss.
