Medina Journal-Register

Medina Journal-Register — At the most recent marching band competition, held this past Saturday at West Genesee High School, a dozen bands representing five different classes were represented.

The Medina Mustang Marching Band competed in class SS1, the largest class, and came away the winner with a score of 81.60. They beat out New Hartford (80.90), East Irondequoit (78.25), Oswego (75.25), and East Syracuse-Minoa (74.80).

Medina will compete in two more shows before heading off to the Carrier Dome for the state’s field band championships. This Saturday, Oct. 5, the Mustangs will travel to Orchard Park, and in two weeks, on Oct. 19, the band will compete in Webster.

The championships are slated for Oct. 27, in Syracuse.
