Medina Journal-Register — The first ever Family Game Night has been planned for Thursday at the Trolley Building on the Orleans County Fairgrounds. The event is sponsored by the Orleans County Youth Bureau and Legislative Office.
Program Coordinator Kyla McCormick addressed the Orleans County Legislature last week and said there is a strong hope that Family Game Night becomes an annual occurrence.
The night is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and has a cost of $5 for a family of up to four people, or $3 individually. The cost covers dinner and allows each family to take home a brand new free game for them to start planning their own family game night. Adults must be accompanied by children in order for the free game offer to apply.
During the night there will be booths staffed by a wide variety of county services. McCormick said as many as 16 departments have already signed up for the evening, and she said she was still working on getting MercyFlight to stop by for a demonstration.
There will also be a handful of prize drawings throughout the night.
