Medina Journal-Register — A Medina man was charged with two felonies on Thursday after an investigation conducted by the Medina Police Department led to his arrest.
Michael Bauer, 28, 730 South Main Street, was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny, both felonies, and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
According to police reports, Bauer’s charges stemmed from an Oct. 12 break-in at The Corner Store.
The preliminary police investigation showed that unknown individuals entered the store and stole an undetermined amount of money from the cash register, an undetermined amount of lottery tickets, and cigarettes. The total value of the stolen items was estimated at more than $1,000.
Police, upon arresting Bauer, also executed a search warrant at his residence, which resulted in the collection of evidence from the scene of the crime, reports said.
Bauer was arraigned in Shelby Town Court where he was remanded to the Orleans County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
