Medina Journal-Register — Orleans/Niagara BOCES is starting registration for its Adult Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Program for spring. The program starts in March and will be held at the Orleans Career and Technical Education Center in Medina.

The class runs four days a week for 13 and a half months. “The class is structured that students rotate between theory and clinical. On the days that they are studying theory it runs 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and during the clinical portion they are at a local healthcare facility from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.,” explained Karen Kwandrans, the Health Occupations Coordinator. “We also want to remind interested parties that they may qualify for financial aid.”

To get information and apply go to the Quick Links section of www.onboces.org and click on Adult/Continuing Education and then on the LPN link. A downloadable application is available from there and it must be submitted along with official copies of transcripts, including high school/GED and college.
