Medina Journal-Register — A Niagara Falls man faces several charges after Niagara County sheriffs deputies investigated a report of a possible burglary in progress at a Lake Road property Thursday.
Kristopher L. Buehler, 28, 1814 18th St., Niagara Falls was arrested after deputies found two firearms, believed to have been taken from the residence, in the back of a pickup truck.
According to the report, Buehler said he drove to the Wilson area with his mother to look at apartments. When the truck broke down, Buehler said his mother called a friend to pick her up and bring her home to Niagara Falls. Buehler addeed he was waiting for his mother to return with a mechanic to fix the truck and drive him home.
Deputies contacted the homeowner, who said she was vacationing in California, and added she is certain that she secured all the doors to her residence. She gave deputies permission to search her house, and said she keeps two long guns on the property.
Buehler was charged with burglary for illegally entering a dwelling, criminal possession of stolen property, grand larceny, petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Buehler was arraigned in Town of Wilson court and held in lieu of $5,000 bail. He is due back in court on Thursday at 7 p.m.
