Medina Journal-Register — The Hoag Library in Albion is accepting donations and the library is hoping for one more major gift.
The Children’s Library has not yet been named. For $75,000, a donor may name the Children’s Library in memory of or in honor of whomever they choose. A permanent sign will be placed on the wall outside the Children’s Library honoring the gift.
There are also smaller opportunities available. The library plans to add two more stone benches (a third bench is on order already) in front of the library. The giving opportunities are $1,000 for the smaller bench (to be placed by the building under the portico to the right of the front door) and $1,500 for a larger bench to be placed on the east side of the building parallel to the memorial pavers.
One set of brick pavers has been sent to be engraved and will be installed this fall near the front entrance of the building. In this first group, 33 brick pavers were named honoring friends and family members. This opportunity is priced at just $75 per brick.
A second opportunity for engraved bricks will be available this fall. The pavers that are purchased this fall will be installed next spring on the east side of the building.
Further opportunities to have pavers engraved may be added later, as final details on the outside of the building are completed.
