Medina Journal-Register — Celebrity Day Spa is one of more than 380 salons participating in a nationwide event on Tuesday.
The “Caring Is Sexy Charity Cut-A-Thon” is a haircut marathon organized by the hair care manufacturer Sexy Hair in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During the cut-a-thon, salons across the country will offer haircuts with a percentage of all proceeds benefitting the nonprofit organization “Look Good Feel Better.” This organization is a self-help beauty charity dedicated to improving the self-image of those undergoing cancer treatment.
For the fourth consecutive year, Sexy Hair has honored Breast Cancer Awareness Month by partnering with Look Good Feel Better. Look Good Feel Better annually helps more than 50,000 women who are undergoing breast cancer treatment are forced to cope with appearance-related side effects.
Last year, participating stylists performed more than 11,000 haircuts during the cut-a-thon to help raise over $115,000. The goal this year is to eclipse last year’s total.
