Medina Journal-Register — The enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures was an important part of the “Life in the Village” event held recently for realtors at Middleport’s Alternative Grounds Caffe.
One of the realtors who attended the event also had a starring role that evening. Ann Busch, a life-long Middleport resident and agent at Realty USA, appeared in a video along with other local residents who described what they like best about living in Middleport.
“That was an easy assignment for me,” said Busch. “I do love Middleport. It wasn’t hard to think of a lot of positives about living in the Village.
Common threads among residents in the video included how friendly people in Middleport are, how much they enjoy Middleport’s quiet atmosphere, community activities, and the low crime rate.
Known for years as a friendly community, the welcoming country porch featured on all of Middleport’s new promotional materials would appear to be quite appropriate. Pamphlets, brochures and a new community website highlight the many benefits the Village has to offer as well as activities that take place throughout the year.
Local realtors that attended the event were treated to refreshments, watched the “Life in the Village” video, and received Middleport’s new promotional brochures and flyers. Work on a new website for the Village at www.Middleport-NewYork.com is also underway. While more items are being added daily, the site features videos, historical photos and articles by Middleport Village Historian Christa Lutz, community events, and a way for residents to submit their own news.
These materials provided to the realtors are aimed at helping them to promote the Village of Middleport to prospective home buyers by sharing the charms of life in this small upstate New York community. The project’s funding was secured by the Village from the New York State Department of State.
