Fall Indoor Volleyball
This week in A Division volleyball, Zacher Construction took on T-Shirts Etc. in a battle of blocks. Zachers took all three games with a score of 75-37. The best part of this match was the blocking battle between Loyd Denniston and Mike Krauss. They both matched up against each other and had a competition of who could stuff the other at the net the most.
The second match of the night was more of a digging contest than anything. With long volleys from the opening serve, the match between The A Team and Notorious D.I.G was a long one. Notorious claimed a 2-1 victory. Adam Tower had one heck of a game in a losing effort, as he showed great touch at the net with tips and ball placement.
In week six of B Division volleyball, two playoff preview matches were played; the first being Victorious Secret vs Bumpin Uglies. Last time these two teams met, VS came out on top with a 2-1 victory. This time around, VS came out strong and won all three games with a score of 75-38. VS was highlighted by James Tee’s laser precision. He was locked in all night, shredding through the defense led valiantly by Lindsay and Sommer Froman.
The second game of the night was a first-round preview of Cupcakes vs Bridget’s Bashers. Cupcakes suffered their first defeat of the season but still took the match 2-1 with a final score of 73-55. Bashers came out strong with block after block by the one-man wall that is Cory Lewis. In game two and three, Cupcakes took control and won both, thanks to the late arrival of Zach Beecher.
