Purple Ealges soar over CSAT

HOLD 'EM: Albion holds on for win

Medina Journal-Register — ALBION — The Purple Eagles withstood a valiant charge by visiting CSAT Wednesday to claim a Niagara-Orleans League victory.

”Kelsee Soule drew a charge late in the game that garnered some momentum,” said Albion Coach Lucian Price.

”CSAT had the ball with 45 seconds left, we got a stop and a rebound, and held the ball for the next 20 seconds until they fouled us,” he added. “Then they had one last attempt with five seconds left to tie and they missed the basket.”

The final score was 59 to 57 in Albion’s favor, despite CSAT outscoring the Purple Eagles in the final stanza.

Soule’s 18 points were matched by teammate Chanyce Powell to lead Albion. Both girls also grabbed 12 rebounds apiece.

Mia Jones and Inez Sullivan paced CSAT with 24 and 13 points, respectively.
