Showing improvement

Medina Journal-Register — Molly Gross had a double-double Friday night to lead Medina in a convincing 46-22 win over Global Concepts in non-league girls basketball action.

Emily Kams scored a game-high 14 points while Gross added 10 and grabbed 12 rebounds. Maddie Winters was also strong on the boards for Medina, grabbing 10 rebounds.

The win was only the second of the season for the Lady Mustangs, but head coach Ken Haak said the team deserved it.

“We’re a young team that’s been working hard all year long,” Haak said. “The girls have been building up their skills and tonight they were able to put it together for a nice win.”

Medina (2-13) hosts Barker tonight.
