Medina Colts cap off 8-0 Mini Division title season

Medina Journal-Register — The Medina Colts bested the Newfane Thunder 26-8 Saturday at Vets Park to complete a perfect 8-0 North Division title season in the Mini Division of the Niagara Orleans Footall Association.

Zachary Blount, Corey Saj and Iverson Poole each ran for a touchdown for the Colts.  Blount also completed a 16 yard TD pass to Tyler Chinn.

Blount, who also ran for two extra points, finished with 140 yards rushing and 100 passing as Saj added 42 yards rushing, Chinn 38 and Poole 20.

On defense, Poole and Blount both made five tackles, Aron Seefeldt, Mitchell Silversmith and Zackery Oliver three, and Jarin Rhim two. Poole and Blound also had fumble recoveries.

Mini Division

Albion 31, Holley 0

Elijah Lloyd scored three touchdowns and Kyle Woolston and Michael White one each to lead Albion to the win. Lloyd had 75 yards rushing, Jhmek Riley 57 and Woolston 38.  

On defense, Lloyd had a 20 yard interception return for a touchdown, Gregory Thompson six tackles and a fumble recovery, Kobe Pugsley four and Riley three.

Jordan Ostrander had 10 yards and Kayde Servais five for Holley. Defensively, Peter Torres have five tackles, Jacob Affronti and Servais four, Mitchell DiFante three and Ethn DelVecchio, Dareo Garcia-Fisher, Ostrander and Jared Strethearn two each.

JV Division

Albion 40, Holley 3

Vincent Zona had a 28-yard touchdown pass to Xavier Cornick for Albion which also got touchdowns by Carlos Botello on a 61 yard run, Rylend Callicutt and Ugene Harrison, Callicutt had a total of 76 yards, Harrison 48, Zona 46 and Tyray White 18.

On defense, Callicutt had six tackles, Mihkyran Drisdom and Gavin Whittman for and Zona and Ryan Grandy three.

Erik Balys had 124 yards rushing for Holley. Balys also had eight tackles, a forced fumble and a sack. Brian Bruce, Tristan McFadden and Bradley Reome were each in on three tackles and Isaih Curtis-Korn, Jacb Norman, Donovan Ross and Cody Taniz two. Bruce also had a fumble recovery and Norman a sack.
