Tigers top Colts for Mini Div. title

Medina Journal-Register — In a clash of unbeatens, the Akron Tigers downed the Medina Colts 27-0 at rainy Vets Park Saturday in the Niagara Orleans Football Association Mini Division playoff championship game.

Adam Mietz scored four touchdowns to lead the way for Akron which finishes the season at 10-0.

Zachery Oliver was in on nine tackles, Iverson Poole six, Aron Seefeldt Jr. and Mitchell Silversmith four and Jaren Rhim three for the Colts which wind up at 9-1. Silversmith also had a sack, Chinn two fumble recoveries and Rhim one.

In the JV title game, Attica nipped Newfane 6-0 in double overtime.

The Varsity Division title contest saw Bar/Lyn defeat Batavia 51-8 as three first half touchdowns by Eddie Schild, including a 90 yard run and a 50 yard interception return, set the pace.
