Medina gains share of U15 Div. lead

Medina Journal-Register — Gaining a share of first place, Medina nipped Warsaw 1-0 this week in a key Genesee Youth Soccer League girls U15 Division game.

Martha Gardner scored the lone goal for Medina in the first half and Jamie Boyce anchored the defense registering a shut-out in goal.

With the win Medina pulls even with Warsaw a top the division standings at 5-1.

In the previous game, Medina defeated Perry 5-0. Gardner and Destiny Satkowski each scored two goals and Katie Bilicki one to spearhead the offense.

Boys U19 Div.

Medina Stallions 5, Attica 1

Getting goal production from five different players, the Medina Stallions defeated host Attica 5-1 Wednesday to improve to 5-1 in U19 Division action.

Stephen Rogenmoser, Nick Schroeder, Drew McMurray, Thomas Goetze and Jacob Pollick took turns scoring the goals.

Stallions goalie Brodie Fenton stopped a penalty shot.

Medina Mustangs 4, Pavilion 1

Two quick goals in the first five minutes sparked the Medina Mustangs to a 4-1 U109 victory over host Pavilion.

The Mustangs also had a huge night defensively by goalie Lawson Fenton.

Aaron Feltz and Steven Anderson scored the early goals for the Mustangs both off throw-ins by James Ianni who tallied himself late in the opening half.

Anderson also screed the Mustangs lone goal in the second half.

The Mustangs are now 1-4-1.

Albion 2, Roy-Hart 1

Zach Stedman scored one goal off a header and another on a penalty kick to lead Albion past Roy-Hart 2-1.

Deni Biterbiev, Billy Andrews and Alex Bison all played well defensively for Albion.

Boys U16 Div.

Pembroke downed host Medina 5-2 on Wednesday. Lucas Cook and Colin Dunn netted th goals for Medina.

In the previous game Medina was nipped 4-3 by Pavilion. Josh Klotzbach and Brian Anderson scored for Medina.

Boys U14 Div.

Attica bested host Medina 5-2 on Wedneday. Ethan Leonard and Elien Gonzalez scored the Medina goals.
