Streaking Tigers set to host Kings

Medina Journal-Register — For the second week in a row revenge will be a big incentive for the streaking Lyndonville Tigers who host the Nickel City Kings at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Pembroke Town Park in a Northeastern Football Alliance game.

The Tigers will be looking to avenge a 48-8 drubbing at the hands of the Kings early in the season which dropped Lyndonville to 0-2.

Since then the Tigers have rattled off six straight victories the most recent of which was a narrow 12-7 win over the rival Buffalo Gladiators last weekend. Quarterback Denver MacItosh hooked up with Gary LeFrois for two touchdowns to lead the Tigers offense and a pair of pass interceptions by AJ Cleveland keyed the defense.

High School Football

Medina High June graduate Lonnie Taylor scored a touchdown during the annual Kensington Lions Club/Ad Pro High School Football Classic held Wednesday at Orchard Park.

Taylor caught a 14 yard TD pass in the second quarter to give the North squad its last lead at 21-14.

The South squad rallied to defeat the North 37-21.
