Rival Mustangs, Stallions tie

Medina Journal-Register — In a see-saw battle, the rival Medina Mustangs and Medina Stallions battled to a 3-3 tie Monday at Vets Park to close out the Genesee Youth Soccer League U19 Division regular season.

Setting the tone, the teams played to a 1-1 draw in the first half as Stephen Rogenmoser scored for the Stallions and Anthony Pane answered for the Mustangs.

That trend continued in the second half as two Stallions’ goals by Thomas Goetze were answered by Mustangs’s tallies by Adam Hoot and Pane. The tally by Pane came in the final four minutes and knotted the contest at 3-3.

The Stallions finish the regular season at 8-3-1 and the Mustangs at 4-6-2.

Stallions 4, Roy-Hart 1

MIDDLEPORT - Scoring twice in each half, the Medina Stallions downed Roy-Hart 4-1 Sunday.

Goetze and Brodie Fenton each scored a goal in the first half to give Medina a 2-1 lead. Jarred Hinkson scored for Roy-Hart during that stretch.

The Stallions then put a lock on the win behind second half goals by Fenton and Nick Schroeder.

Roy-Hart did rebound by blanking visiting Attica 5-0 on Monday to finish the regular season at 7-5.

Albion 2, Pavilion 0

PAVILION - Front-running Albion stayed unbeaten at 10-0-1 by blanking Pavilion 2-0 Monday on goals by Sam Remley and Jackson Hamilton.

Josue Serafin and Deni Biterbyev shared in earning the shut-out in goal.
