Medina keeps on rolling in Midget B

Medina Journal-Register — Scoring early and often, Medina posted a 14-10 victory over visiting Newfane Wednesday in a Midget B League contest.

Dominic DiCureia, Josh Scroger, Matt Riemer, Justin Morgan and Gage Masters each had two hits to lead the offense for Medina which improves to 8-1-1.

Trailing 2-0 Medina moved on top to stay by scoring five runs in the home half of the first inning as DiCiureia, Riemer, Morgan and Masters all banged out singles.

Medina quickly tacked on three more runs in the second inning highlighted by a two-run single by Morgan. A double by DiCureia and single by Scroger sparked that uprising.

Scroger then belted a two-run home run in the fourth inning following a triple by Quinten Adkinds.

Medina added what proved to be three big runs in the fifth frame on singles by Masters, Tyler Ames and Brad McPherson.
