Medina Journal-Register — LYNDONVILLE - Improving to 6-1, Lyndonville rolled to a 17-2 Genesee Region League softball victory over Kendall Wednesday.
In Niagara-Orleans League action, Albion defeated CSAT 15-3 and Wilson downed Barker 5-2 while in a non league contest Roy-Hart blanked Batavia 9-0.
Maddy Boyle hurled a two hitter with five strikeouts for Lyndonville.
Boyle, Katie Marek and Rebekah Hoffee each banged out three hits and Alex Harling two to lead the Lady Tigers at the plate.
Albion 15, CSAT 3
ALBION - Meghan Hurley pitched a five hitter with six strikeouts to lead the way for Albion in the 15-3 victory over CSAT.
Halle Jurs and Ali O’Hearn both had four hits to lead the Purple Eagles at the plate as Sarah Papponetti added three and Erika Edwards and Kelsee Soule two each.
Jurs also drove in four runs while O’Hearn and Soule both had three RBIs and Edwards two.
Albion improves to 2-1 and CSAT drops to 0-3.
Wilson 5, Barker 2
BARKER - Lindsay Bryer hurled a three hitter with 11 strikeouts for Wilson in the 5-2 win over Barker.
Bryer also had two hits and two RBIs as Taylor Devole added two hits including a double.
Wilson is now 1-1 and Barker 0-2.
Roy-Hart 9, Batavia 0
BATAVIA - Taylor Fry pitched a five hit shut out with 11 strikeouts for Roy-Hart in th 9-0 win over Batavia.
Ashley Bower led the Lady Rams at the plate with three hits including a home run.
Albion 3, Wilson 2
Wins by Andrew Burroughs at third singles and by the doubles teams of Ben Kirby - Kyler McQuillan and Humza Quinn - Dyer Benjovesky sparked Albion to a 3-2 N-O League tennis win over Wilson Wednesday.
Both teams are now 1-1.
Holley 4, Byron-Bergen 1
Singles wins by Seth DeLuca and Will Barniak helped lead undefeated (3-0) Holley to a 4-1 Genesee Region League victory over Byron-Bergen Wednesday.
The Hawks also got wins from the doubles teams of Nathan Payne - Justin Webster and Ian Penders - Brady Smith.
