Medina Journal-Register — LYNDONVILLE - Getting point production from 10 players, Barker posted a 72-54 victory over Lyndonville Friday in a non league game.
Jacob Haight took game high honors with 23 points and Mitch Luckman netted 20 to lead the way for Barker which also had Chris Sweeney tally 10.
Austin Bane scored 22, Justin Edwards 12 and Brandon Schoolcraft 11 to spark Lyndonville.
Bane hit a three at the outset for Lyndonville but Barker answered with a 12-0 run, all from close range, to take the lead for good. Haight scored eight on two lay-ups and a pair of rebound buckets to key that surge.
Haight had a total of 14 points in the opening quarter which finished with the Raiders on top 21-11. Bane netted nine for the Tigers during that stretch.
Continuing to dominate inside, Barker extended its lead a bit to 14, 40-26, at the break as Haight capped off his big 20 point half with a dunk off a steal.
Edwards scored eight and Schoolcraft six for the Tigers in the quarter.
Consecutive lay-ups by Brett Cole, Haight and Luckman to open the second half quickly boosted the Barker advantage to 20 at 46-26.
The Raiders maintained a 16 point, 53-37 advantage at the three-quarter mark.
Bane tallied six for Lyndonville in the third quarter and seven in the fourth.
Improving to 2-0, Barker next hosts Kendall on Tuesday.
Lyndonville, which slips to 0-3 , opens the Genese Region League season at home Tuesday against Wheatland-Chili.
Putting together a big second half, Holley rallied to defeat Oakfield-Alabama 52-42 Friday in a Genesee Region League game.
Kyle Bell poured in 29 points, including four three’s, as Holley erased a 17-14 half-time deficit to claim the win by outpointing O-A 38-25 in the second half. Bell also had five assists and five rebounds.
Will Barniak added eight points and Joe DeFelice seven for Holley which rallied into a 32-30 lead at the three-quarter mark.
Hunter Keys also grabbed off 10 rebounds for the 1-1 Hawks.
Newfane 61, St. Mary’s, Lancaster 56 (OT)
NIAGARA FALLS - A three by Reid Weber at the buzzer pulled Newfane even at 49-49 and then the Panthers went on to out score St. Mary’s of Lancaster 12-7 in overtime to claim a 61-56 Cataract Classic victory Saturday. Connor Sears, who finished with 24 points, and Weber who netted 14, both had four key free throws for the Panthers in the overtime.

BUFFALO - Olivia Kelkenberg had 18 points and 15 rebounds and Stephanie Riegle 15 points for Roy-Hart in the Lady Rams 58-45 non league loss to Nichols Saturday.
Wilson 37, Lew-Port 24
WILSON - Jamie Curry scored 18 points to lead the host Lakewomen to a 37-24 win over Lw-Port Saturday in the title game of the Wilson Tournament.
