Quadruple-header day of soccer Sat.

Medina Journal-Register — Vets Park will be a beehive of soccer action Saturday as Medina hosts a quadruple-header in Genesee Youth Soccer League competition.

Compeition will get underway at 2:30 p.m. as Medina hosts Pembroke in U14.

At 4:15 the U15 Division co-leading Medina girls squad hosts Pavilion 2.

Medina will then host Albion in U16 action at 6 p.m.

The day’s schedule will wrap-up with the Medina Mustangs facing the rival Medina Stallions at 8 p.m. in U 19 competition.

On Wednesday, front-running Albion jumped out to a 2-0 half-time advantage in route to posting a 6-0 win over the Medina Mustangs in a U19 contest.

Trevor Hadick and Sam Remley scored in the first half for Albion which tacked on second half tallies by Remley, Alex Bison, Deni Biterbyev and Billy Andrews.

Chris Reed earned the shutout in goal.

Albion improves to 7-0-1 while the Mustangs slip to 3-5-1.

Albion also defeated Medina 3-0 in a U16 Division contest.
