Medina Journal-Register — Bolstered by the return of veteran players at every position, Roy-Hart is looking to improve upon last year’s 2-10 record in Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer competition.

The Rams large veteran contingent includes Maine Walker in goal, Ben Werth and Will Johnson on defense, Alex Stoddard, Cody Breedlove, Zach Augustyn, Lyle Wagner, Brendon Whitford and Jesus Campos at midfield and Hans Johnson, Kyle Shanahan and David Brooks at forward. All are seniors except Campos who is a junior.

“We’ve got a real good core of returning kids,” coach Barry Webber said. “We’ve got good experience at every position. They played well over the summer and hopefully that carries over. Our big key is scoring goals and hopefully will have balanced scoring.”

Key loses for the Rams to graduation were forward Jarred Hinkson who earned second team N-O All-League honors Kevin Bligh and Nick Morse.

The Rams will get the season off to a fast start visiting Akron on Sept. 4 for the N-O opener and then participating the the Holley Tournament on Sept. 5 and 7.

“The experience will certainly help us and hopefully it all comes around,” said Webber.
