Medina netters top R-H

Medina Journal-Register — Improving to 7-0, defending champion Medina downed visiting Roy-Hart 5-1/2 Friday in a Niagara-Orleans League tennis match.

Chris Horgan, Ben Howell and Kristian Snyder all scored straight set victories in singles competition for Medina.

The Mustangs also got straight set wins fro the doubles teams of Arsalan Mustafa - Troy Fidanza and Nate Pace - Sibtain Mustafa.

The loss drops Roy-Hart to 2-5.

Barker 5.5, Akron 0

Runner-up Barker boosted its N-O record to 7-2 with a 5.5-0 victory over Akron.

Straight set singles wins by Sean Benoit, Joe Devereaux and Zach Smolinsky led the way for the Raiders.

Wilson 3, Albion 2

ALBION - Breaking a deadlock for third place, Wilson (6-3) edged Albion (5-4) 3-2 Friday.

Albion’s points came on wins by the doubles teams of Ben Kirby - Dyer Benjovesky and Kyler McQuillan - Monica Benjovesky.

Holley 3, Wheatland-Chili 2

Holley edged past host Wheatland-Chili 3-2 to improve to 8-1 in Genesee Region League action.

The Hawks swept the snuggles matches with wins by Corey Winter, Seth DeLuca and Will Barniak to claim the victory.

Earlier in the week Holley lost its first G-R match of the year to Holley 4-1 as the doubles teem of Ian Penders - Brady Smith earned the Hawks lone point.
