Lady Tigers returna good nucleus

Medina Journal-Register — LYNDONVILLE - With new coach and Lyndonville alum Sherri (Stephens) Janas at the helm, the Lady Tigers are prepping to open the season at Holley on Friday.

Anchoring the Lyndonville lineup is a quartet of senior veterans including Sierra VanWycke, Hailey Anderson, Courtney Traxler and Alex Harling.

Juniors Jenna Castricone, Geness Joy, Madison Gardepe, Cheyenne Button and Alyssa Mahnke also return with varsity experience.

The Lady Tigers lineup also includes Autumn Nesbitt, Abby Feldman, Crystal Furness, Tiffany Durow and Lieselotte Schroeder.

“They are a hard working, very enthusiastic and very receptive group,” Janas said. “We’ve got a good group of experienced players and they are determined to have a good season. The big key for us will be to work together as a team.”

The Lady Tigers home opener will be Dec. 6 against Barker.
