W-C topples Lyndonville

Medina Journal-Register — LYNDONVILLE - Taking charge at the outset by jumping out to a commanding 21 point first quarter lead, Wheatland-Chili went on to defeat Lyndonvlle 75-34 Tuesday in a Genesee Region League game.

Tyler Roberts scored 12 of his 14 points, Matthew Cook eight of his 12 and Rodney Roberts six of his 14 in the decisive first quarter to spark W-C out to a 26-5 lead.

Two three’s by Justin Clark along with two baskets each by Cook and Roberts keyed a 20-8 seond quarter W-C surge which upped the lead to 33, 46-13, at the half.

W-C led 65-18 at the three-quarter mark.

Musa Mansur scored nine, Austin Bane and Evan Milleville eight to lead Lyndonville as Phillips Gresham added three and Justin Edwards, Joey Sunday and Ty Hrovat two each.

Now at 0-4, Lyndonville next hosts Elba at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Barker 62,

Kendall 49

BARKER - Leading by a narrow 25-20 half-time margin, Barker used a big 18-5 third period scoring surge to key a 62-49 non league victory over Kendall.

Jacob Haight scored a game high 26 points for Barker as Chris Sweeney added 13 and Mith Luckman 9.

Devon Appleton scored 14 and Dan Kelly 13 for Kendall.

Roy-Hart 82,

Buffalo Arts 59

BUFFALO - Blake Copella and Ryan Farewell each scored 21 points and Brad Bobbitt 18 to spark Roy-Hart to the 82-59 non league win over Buffalo Arts.

Up by only four, 33-29, at the half, Roy-Hart used a big 33 point third period scoring burst to break the contest open. Copella netted 12 and Farewell eight to lead that surge.

Newfane 78,

Grand Island 43

NEWFANE - Connor Sears had 21 points to 12 rebounds and Alex Intehar 12 points to pace Newfane to the 78-43 non league win over Grand Island.
