Medina Journal-Register — LYNDONVILLE - Rebounding quickly from a first inning deficit, Lyndonville romped to a 16-3 victory over Webster Christian Friday in a non league game.
Capitalizing on two walks and a double, Webster Christian struck for three quick runs in the top of the first inning but Lyndonville hurler Chris Scroger and his Tiger teammates slammed the door the rest of the way.
Scroger allowed only the one first inning hit and two walks while striking out seven on the wind swept afternoon.
At the plate, Lyndonville rallied into the lead for good by scoring five times in the second inning on two-run singles by Ty Hrovat and Eddie Silversmith and an RBI single by Austin Bane.
The Tigers later put a lock on the victory by scoring four times in the fifth as Brad Smith had a two-run single and Bane an RBI double.
Silversmith finished with a total of three hits including a pair of doubles and four RBIs. Hrovat, Bane, Brandon Schoolcraft and James Ianni each had two hits. Hrovat and Schoolcraft both drove in a pair of runs. Schoolcraft’s hits were both doubles.
Lyndonville improves to 5-1.
The Tigers scheduled home game against Northstar on Saturday was postponed due to the cold, windy weather.

In Friday’s lone Niagara-Orleans League baseball game Wilson (3-0) defeated Barker (1-3) 14-1 as Chris Reid had three hits.
