Medina rallies past Wilson, 9-6

Medina Journal-Register — Trailing 5-3, Medina rallied for six runs in the sixth inning to key a 9-6 victory over Wilson Thursday in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game at Vets Park.

Hits by Liz Meyer, Abriel Bloom and Stormi Kruger highlighted the decisive rally for the Mustangs which was also aided by four errors. Kruger had a total of three hits on the day.

Earlier, Medina took a 3-2 lead in the third inning on a two-run single by Emma Fish.

Wilson answered with two runs in the fourth frame on solo home runs by Lindsay Bryer and Adriana Bryer to grab a 4-3 lead. A triple by Rachael Cobo helped set up another run in the top of the sixth upping the lead to 5-3.

However, Medina countered with the decisive six run uprising in the home half of the sixth to regain the lead for good.

Medina improves to 3-2 and Wilson slips to 2-3.

Attica 20, Lyndonville 0

LYNONVILLE - Limited to only three hits, Lyndonville dropped a 20-0 decision to Attica Thursday in a Genesee Region League game.
