Medina Journal-Register — Lyndonville High junior Patrick Hinkson has had a milestone season in Genesee Region League and Section V golf competition.

Hinkson recently captured the G-R Tournament title with a round of 77 at the Stafford Country Club.

Because Lyndonville does not have a golf team, Hinkson has played with the Kendall squad as aTiger team of one for the past four years. This season he had an average score of 37.4 in 11 G-R matches earning medalist honors in nine of them.

Hinkson went on to tie for 12th place Saturday at the Section V Tournament held at the Ridgemont Country Club with a round of 82. On Monday he placed 21st at the Section V state qualifier tournament at Clifton Springs with a round of 86.

Section VI state qualifier

Medina’s Brad Wilson shot an 88 to lead the Niagara-Orleans League’s contingent at the Section VI state qualifier golf tournament Monday. The Mustangs also had Tommy Zacher with a round of 93.

Akron had Anthony Laurienzo with an 89 and Noah Dieble a 94, Albion’s Jonathan Krieger a 95 and Barker’s Brad Wilson a 97.
