Irish tame Tigers

Medina Journal-Register — LYNDONVILLE — Getting point production from 11 different players, undefeated (17-0) Notre Dame rolled to a 73-44 victory over Lyndonville Wednesday in a Genesee Region League game.

Jared Thornton and Tommy Prospero both scored 13, Tim MuCulley 12 and Ryan Bender 11 to lead the balanced Notre Dame attack.

Patrick Hinkson scored 12, Phillip Gresham 11 and Austin Bane 10 for Lyndonville.

Notre Dame took command at the outset exploding out to a 20-4 first period lead. Prospero hit two threes, Thornton one and Bender and McCulley each chipped in with a pair of baskets to spark that uprising.

Keeping the momentum, the Irish outscored the Tigers 24-10 in the second period to stretch the advantage to 30, 44-14, at the half. Two threes by McCulley along with one each by Prospero and Jason Hart highlighted that surge.

Notre Dame maintained a commanding 59-26 advantage at the three-quarter mark.

Elba 59, Kendall 52

KENDALL - Jonah Dalcin had 17 points and 16 rebounds, Mookie Nauden 13 points and Dan Kelly 12 for Kendall in a narrow 59-52 G-R regular season ending loss to Elba Wednesday.

Kendall finishes the regular season at 10-8.

Alexander 69, Holley 34

HOLLEY - Will Barniak scored 14 for Holley in a G-R regular seaon ending 69-34 loss to Alexander Wednesday.

Girls Basketball

Monroe 51, Lyndonville 42

LYNDONVILLE - Trailing 21-19 at the half, Monroe used a 32-21 seond half scoring surge to earn a 51-42 non league victory over Lyndonville Wednesday.

Alex Harling scored 12 for Lyndonville as Sierra VanWycke and Courtney Traxler both netted eight and Hailey Anderson six.

On Tuesday, Lyndonville dropped a 80-32 G-R decision at Notre Dame.
