Coming from behind in the second half, Albion nipped the Medina Mustangs 2-1 at Vets Park Sunday in a Genesee Youth Soccer League U19 Division game.
Jackson Hamilton scored a pair of second half goals, both off free kicks, to rally Albion for the win.
Medina grabbed the 1-0 lead on a penalty kick goal by Steven Anderson in the final minute of the first half.
Earlier in the first half Medina goalie Adam Hoot stopped an Albion penalty kick shot.
Albion improves to 2-0 and the Medina Mustangs slip to 0-2.
Nickel City Kings 48,Lyndonville Tigers 8
LEWISTON - Five turnovers (four lost fumbles and an interception) proved costly as the Lyndonville Tigers dropped a 48-8 decision to the Nickel City Kings Saturday in a Northeastern Football Alliance semi pro football game.
Clay Johnson scored the only touchdown for the Tigers on a six yard run and quarterback Gary LeFrois added the two-point conversion.
Lyndonvlle, which trailed 19-8 at the half, is protesting the game citing Nickel City’s use of illegal players.
Now at 0-2, Lyndonville will open the home portion of its schedule against the Western New York Dragons at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Pendleton Town Park.
