Barker field hockey upends East Rochester in state quarterfinal
After a back-and-forth first half, the Barker field hockey team asserted control late in Saturday's Class C Far West Regional against East Rochester. The Lady Raiders scored on a goal by Erin Greenwald, assisted by Gabby Clare, with less than six minutes remaining. Barker moves on to face Cazenovia at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Class C state semifinals, at Cicero-North Syracuse HS in Cicero.
Bills fall to Steelers, 23-10
The Buffalo Bills jumped out to a fine start against Pittsburgh but couldn't keep it up. Quarterback EJ Manuel struggled mightily, and the Bills fell, 23-10, to drop to 3-7 on the season.
Albion volleyball falls to Starpoint in Class B final
The Albion volleyball team finally met its match on Monday evening, falling in straight sets to No. 8 Starpoint in the Class B final. No. 2 Albion was led by Chanyce Powell, Aleah Foos, Brooke Wilson, Jasmyn Smith and coach Ann Capacci.

Top three finishers in N-O golf championship all share baseball roots
Brad Wilson took medalist honors at Thursday's N-O golf championship at Willowbrook, shooting a 79. Albion's John Krieger shot 81 to finish second, while Barker's Alonzo St. Louis shot 83 to take third.
Barker golf wins N-O championship for third consecutive year
After an undefeated season, the Barker golf team captured the N-O league title with a strong all-around performance at Willowbrook in Lockport on Thursday afternoon. Seniors Alonzo St. Louis and Mitch Luckman, along with star sophomore Brad Wilson, led the way for coach Tim Daley's Raider squad.
