Mary Lee Patterson, age 87, died suddenly June 5, 2013, at Erie County Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1926 in Odum, GA, a daughter of the late Willis and Mary (Hamilton) Hills and had lived in this area most of her life. Mary Lee was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and attended the Light of Victory Church. She was a former employee of Duffy Motts and Fisher Price, retiring in 1991. Mary Lee enjoyed fishing, reupholstering furniture and cooking for family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Jake Patterson; son, Jerome Patterson; daughter, Yvonne Williams. She is survived by her children, Louis (Taylor Lathan) Patterson of Rochester, Veronica Gardner of FL, Dolores Patterson of Albion, Curtis Patterson of Rochester; daughter-in-law, Valerie Patterson of Webster; son-in-law, Freddie Gardner of Kendall; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucy Mae Smith of FL, Cleotha Jackson of FL, Maxine Hamilton of FL, Lillie Bell Spellman of GA; special niece, Frances Louise Green; special friends, Julia Thompson and Ruth Parker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
The family will receive friends at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Thursday, June 13 from 11:00-12:00 PM, where her funeral service will follow at 12:00. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. Arrangements by Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, Albion.
