Jack D. Baker

ALBION — Jack D. Baker, age 70, of Ridge Road, died February 11, 2014 in Medina Memorial Hospital, following a long illness. He was born February 12, 1943 in Albion to Clarence and Edith(Mull) Baker and had lived in this area all of his life. Mr. Baker was a US Navy veteran having served from 1960-1964, and was a member of the Holley American Legion and the Holley VFW. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company and in earlier days, Jack enjoyed going on cruises, golfing and playing cards.  

Mr. Baker was predeceased by his brother, William Baker and his sisters, Marian Patience, Eileen Boardway, Florence Cosimo and Shirley Emery. He is survived by his loving companion for over 20 years, Donna Brooks; his daughters, Elly Jones of Hamlin, Tina (Rick) Zinsmeister of Morton, Flo (Eric) Johnston of Albion; his brother, Albert Baker of Barre Center; his sister, Doris(Gary)Antinore of Albion; four grandchildren, Douglas, Matthew, Jessica, Taylor; his great-granddaughter, Isabelle; as well as several nieces and nephews.  

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Avenue, Albion, FRIDAY from 12-2 PM, where his funeral service will be held at 2 PM following       visitation. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans.
