OSSIPPEE, NH — Mr. James D. Cook, of Ossipee, NH, formerly of Medina, went home to his heavenly home on November 15, 2012.

Mr. Cook was born in Lyndonville, May 23, 1934, a son of the late Roy and Jessie (Fraser) Cook.  A graduate of Lyndonville High School, class of 1952 where he played high school baseball and Alfred College, he joined the Navy and served for four years on the USS Boston. He was employed by Rochester Products for 38 years and retired in 1999.  He was a member of the American Legion Post in Wolfeboro, NH. Following retirement, he moved to Ossipee. Jim was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan.

Survivors include his wife, Margery, whom he married on Nov. 7, 1970; two children, Pam (Arthur) Wright of Niskayuna, NY; and Timothy (Caroline) Vanderlaan of Shiloh, NC; five grandchildren, Shelby and Brenna Turner; Andrew Wynne; Anthony and Lyssa  Aragone; sisters, Marjory (Wayne) Barry of Lyndonville; E. Louise Nichalson of Medina; Marilyn (Roger) Kenyon of Barker; Suzanne (Bob Wolfe) Bigelow, Phyllis Allport, Janice (David) Wells; sister-in-law, Bea Cook, all of Medina; several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Roy F. Cook; sister, Shirley (Vic) Caleb and his in-laws, Howard and Anna Joseph.

Friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life at the Lincoln Post #1483, VFW, 216 East Center St., Medina, on Dec. 2, 2012, at 12 Noon.  Military honors will be accorded by members of Lincoln Post #1483, VFW and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion.      Share condolences at
