NIAGARA FALLS —
William "Bill" F. Gray, 69, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away January 24, 2014 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born December 31, 1944 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late William A. and Ruth (Hillman) Gray and attended Trott Vocational High School. After high school Bill entered the United States Army on September 29, 1965, serving during the Vietnam War, receiving the National Defense Medal and was honorably discharged on May 22, 1968, as an E-4. He worked for the United States Postal Service (Buffalo) as a mail sorter.
He is survived by his children, Glen L. Gray and Elizabeth Alsip; brothers, Robert "Bob" (Peggy) Gray and David (Jean) Gray; brothers-in-law, Leonard (Pat) Rinker and Daniel Rinker; his loving girlfriend and best friend, Jane Brown and his sidekicks, Patches, Pepe and Greta. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte Gray on July 23, 2007; his son, William C. Gray and granddaughter, Erica Elizabeth Cummings.
Friends may call Tuesday, January 28th, from 11AM-1 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319-24th St., cor. Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where memorial services, with military honors, will begin at 1:30 PM, with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
