Robert L. Linberg

ALBION — Robert L. Linberg, age 83, of Bayberry Lane, died February 7, 2014 in Medina Memorial Hospital, following a long illness. He was born May 22, 1930 in Rochester to Luther and Lula(Rightmyer) Linberg and had lived in this area over 24 years.

Mr. Linberg was a United States veteran of both the Army and Navy and had served during the Korean War. Robert was a member of the Sheret Post American Legion, served as an Elder at the Albion First Presbyterian Church, and attended the Medina and Albion Senior Citizen Groups. In his spare time Bob enjoyed fishing and making latch-hook rugs.  

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra; his sons, David (Stacy Smith) Linberg of PA, John Linberg of PA; daughters, Sylvia Linberg of Elmira, Faith (Michael) Nichols of Brockport; seven grandchildren, Robert, Jonathan, Mary, Sheena, Jessica, Jeremy and Matthew, as well as several great-grandchildren.  

There will be no prior calling hours. A celebration of Bob's life will take place at a later date and will be announced by the family at that time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Albion First Presbyterian Church or the Orleans County Nutrifare Program. Arrangements were made by the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. of Albion.
