Gary J. Gross, of Medina, passed away early Monday morning, September 23, 2013 at his home. Mr. Gross was born in Medina, December 31, 1945, the son of Lucy (Krysinski) Gross and the late John J. Gross.
A graduate of Medina High School, Class of 1963, he served with the US Air Force from 1963-67. In May of 1969, he married the former Barbara Nudd. He was employed by Harrison Radiator Division of GMC, as a packer, retiring in 1998 and by the Town of Ridgeway Highway Dept. from 1999-2009. Gary was a member of the Jr. Wilson Sportsmen Club, and a former member of  Lincoln Post #1483 VFW, Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion and the Moose. He enjoyed coaching youth baseball and an active supporter of  wrestling. He loved the outdoors, spending time at his camp in Warsaw and splitting wood. He had  a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, Craig (Katie) Gross and Eric (Julie Kuhn) Gross; his mother, Lucy; five granddaughters, Samantha Roskowski, Molley, Hannah, Elle and Peyton Gross; sister-in-law, Maureen (Lee) Blackburn; brother-in-law, Brad (Anita) Nudd; two nieces, Elaine (Mike) Slesinski and Diane (Ron) Sercu; nephew, Josh (Marion Hale) Blackburn; several aunts and uncles including Gordon Hermann; and his beloved Beagle, Emma. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Al and Veronica Nudd and nephew, Alan Nudd.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 3 PM at Holy Trinity Parish/St. Mary's Church celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Fawls. Military honors will be accorded at the church by members of Lincoln Post#1483, VFW and Butts Clark Post# 204, American Legion. There will be no prior calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans County, Knights/Kaderli Memorial Fund or the Parents Athletic Club. Arrangements are being handled by the Cooper Funeral Home, Medina.
