Maxine B. Fitch, of Medina, passed away on New Year's Eve morning, December 31, 2013 at the Villages of Orleans. Mrs. Fitch was born in Medina on April 30, 1935, a daughter of the late Raymond and Emma (Barnes) Bolton. A graduate of Medina High School, she married Roland L. "Red" Fitch and was a lifelong area resident. She volunteered at the Medina Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her son, Timothy Fitch of Macedon; her daughter, Deborah Fisher of Medina; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Melissa; six great-grandchildren, Devin, Amaya, Kiana Cleveland and Sebastian, Xavier and Phoenyx Fisher, all of Medina; her brother, Raymond Bolton of Florida; good friend, Barb Pritchard; along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland, on March 8, 1992; and her sisters, Lilah Schening and Gertrude Kilner.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Villages of Orleans Dementia Unit for their compassionate and comforting care provided during her stay. Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. A graveside committal service will be held in the spring at Millville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
