Timothy S. "TJ" James, 72, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Buffalo General Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Palmetto, FL, the son of Ella (Anderson) and Timothy R. James and has lived in this area since 1952.
He worked for 25 years for New York State Dept. of Parks and Recreation as Maintenance Supervisor for Lakeside Beach State Park before retiring. In his spare time, he enjoyed mowing lawns and socializing with everyone. He was a member of Glad Tiding Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley Abron of Albion; niece, Kim (Eric) Abron-Granison of Rochester; nephew, Jason (Melanie) Abron of Albion; and many cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 1-3 PM at Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 12 Ingersoll St., Albion. Services will follow at 3 PM with Pastor Lambert Duncan officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Albion Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in TJ's name may be made to the American Heart Association.
