Frank L. "Butch" Seitzer

KNOWLESVILLE, NY —  

Frank L. "Butch" Seitzer, 70, of Knowlesville, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in Orchard Manor Nursing Home. Born on June 21, 1942 in Williamsport, PA, Butch was the son of the late Lester and Dorothy (Robbins) Seitzer. He married the former Charlene J. Smith on June 16, 1962.
He was a member of the Knowlesville United Methodist Church for over 50 years where he also served as Lay Speaker. Butch worked for GM for 33 years and after retirement drove bus for Head Start in Medina for 5 years. He served as Chaplain for the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company and was a member of the Medina Lodge 336 F&AM, Order of the Eastern Star and was a volunteer for the Variety Club of Buffalo's Variety Kids Telethon for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene J. Seitzer of Knowlesville; daughters, Sherry (Joe Perez) Branciforte of Batavia and Dawn (Chuck) Seitzer-Parker of Knowlesville; grandson, Joshua Parker; three siblings, Dona Seitzer of Medina, Paul Seitzer of Pennsylvania and Joyce Scott of California; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Seitzer-Williams and Lill Seitzer; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides his parents, Butch was predeceased by his brother, Donald Seitzer; brother-in-law, Milton Scott; nephew, Jason Seitzer; and great-niece, Michaela Fidanza. His family and Godchildren were very special to him.
Calling hours will be from 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM on Friday at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where his funeral service will also be held on Saturday at 11AM. Rev. Ray Noell and Rev. Kim Smith will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knowlesville United Methodist Church, 3622 Knowlesville Rd., Knowlesville, NY 14479; The Variety Kids Telethon, 6114 Broadway, Lancaster, NY 14086; or the Alzheimer's Association of WNY, 2805 Wehrle Dr. #6, Buffalo, NY 14221.
