PORT ORANGE, FL —
George J. Mack, of Port Orange, FL, died on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Mr. Mack was born in Medina, March 12, 1922, a son of the late John and Anna (Krakosz) Mack.
A graduate of Medina High School, he served in the US Army from December 1942 to September 1943. For many years, he resided in Waterport until he moved to Florida in 1986. Mr. Mack was employed by Delco Products for many years. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, loved auctions and flea markets. His wife, the former Natalie (Bernatowicz) Mack, died on June 5, 2005.
Survivors include his daughter, Janet Pluskwa of Port Orange, FL; two sons, John (Linda) Mack of Browns Valley, CA and Marvin Mack of Interlachen, FL; two grandsons, Edward J. (Amy) Pluskwa of West Henrietta, NY and Eric Pluskwa of Medina; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Arianna and Alyssa; a sister, Adeline Millis; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, Frank and Walter Mack; brother-in-law, George Millis; sister, Mary Rowan and son-in-law, Edward A. Pluskwa.
Friends may call on Saturday 11 AM - 1 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where his funeral service will follow at 1 PM. The Rev. Joseph Fifagrowicz will officiate. Interment will be in Boxwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans County.
