    Everyone takes pride in personal accomplishment — no matter how great or small that accomplishment might be.

    In light of the recent airline tragedy that has taken place in our community, I find it necessary to address the situation before I attempt any semblance of normality — at least as “normal” as this column gets.

    When I opened the door and walked into my apartment, a 58 degrees stream of heat (the temperature I financially have to keep my thermostat set to) embraced the exposed sections of my face.
