BURGLARY: Kyle Depoty, 23, 15 Vision Apartments, Albion, was charged with 2nd-degree burglary and petit larceny on Dec. 9. Depoty was charged as a result of an investigation into a Dec. 4 burglary at a residence on Eagle Harbor Road in the Town of Albion. Depoty was arraigned and remanded to the Orleans County Jail on $10,000 bail.
LARCENY: A 17-year-old male was charged with stealing an X-Box game and queen-size bed from a residence on Taylor Road in the Town of Clarendon on Dec. 12. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Clarendon Court on Jan. 13 at 5:30 p.m.
FRAUD: Maria L. Lape, 19, 931 Water St., Apt. B, Kent, was charged with misuse of food stamps and 5th-degree welfare fraud on Dec. 13. Lape was charged as a result of an investigation conducted by the Orleans County Department of Social Services Fraud Unit where it was determined she received $186.66 in benefits to which she was not entitled. Lape was slated to appear in Town of Albion Court Dec. 17.
ABUSE: Patrick E. Sewar, 22, 3635 Knowlesville Road, Albion, was charged with 1st-degree sex abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child on Dec. 13. Sewar was charged as a result of an investigation where it is alleged that he had inappropriate contact with a victim less than 11 years old. Sewar was arraigned and remanded to the Orleans County Jail on $100,000 bail and an order of protection was issued for the victim.
DWI: Danny W. Shuler Jr., 25, 1826 Center Road, Kendall, was charged with driving while intoxicated, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle and stopping on the highway on Dec. 14. Shuler was charged after he was found sleeping in the driving lane of Creek Road in the town of Kendall with his car running and lights on. Shuler refused the breath test and was arraigned in Town of Kendall Court where he was remanded to the Orleans County Jail on $500 bail.
DWI: Nicholas I. Stevenson, 34, 8455 Ridge Road West, Lot 19C, Clarkson, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent (.12), drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana on Dec. 16. Stevenson is scheduled to appear in Town of Murray Court on Jan. 6 at 7 p.m.
