BILLS DOSE: Hardy seeks to put incident behind him

Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver James Hardy met with the Western New York media Monday during the team’s first organized team activity. Hardy sought to put last week’s incident in Indiana — when he was accused, but not charged, with pulling a gun on his father — behind him.

“No gun was involved,” Hardy said. “The only thing is I shouldn’t have been there. It sort of feels like every time I go home something negative [happens and], I’m always on the end of it. Now I’m in Buffalo and this is the best thing to happen to me since the birth of my son. ... This is something that will never happen again and nothing will ever be blown out of proportion again because I will never be in this situation.”
