Albion Mayor Michael Hadick demanded Wednesday that all four of the village trustees resign, while the board gave the mayor a vote of no confidence.

The Town of Albion Wind Advisory Committee discussed a proposed 24-page local law outlining the rules and procedures for wind turbines at Thursday evening’s meeting.

Town of Albion residents can expect their 2008 taxes to be nearly identical to what they paid last year, said Town Board Member Timothy A. Neilans.

The entire Democratic Party has pulled out of the Town of Albion Candidate Forum set for Oct. 17 because the event excludes the highway superintendent candidates, said Democratic Chairman Sally Rytlewski. The forum is hosted by the League of Women Voters.

Residents in the Village of Albion, Town of Albion and the Town of Gaines are invited to a public information meeting to learn more about a study investigating “consolidation” for the three municipalities. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Albion High School Large Group Instruction room.

Incumbent Eugene Christopher is back on the November ballot for Town of Albion supervisor, three days after losing to Town Councilwoman Judy Koehler in the Republican primary.
